A couple of days ago in the line of duty I chanced to visit
a morgue. A public morgue for that matter; now everybody thinks am this bizarre
person, funeral homes are creepy, I think it’s because of the fallacies allied
with the dead.
Just wanted to settle, am totally normal, don’t be fibbed no ghost will haunt you when you see the departed,
doctors see them all the time so do police officers, I here and now come to an
agreement that you can work in there without doing drugs. Somebody confirmed that
the undertaker’s course is very marketable, you might want to change your
career.
Back to my story, lifeless naked bodies lay on the dusty
floor and it got me thinking if it just happened the deceased woke back to life
and find the condition they are in, most likely many would be restless.
Laying down there, peaceful, zero clue of what is happening
around them; I think doctors should be bestowed the most respect; the only people
who escort you into this world and out. Seeing you in your most vulnerable moments.
That thing about coming and leaving this world by yourself
is so accurate, only you and whatever you believed in, you can’t even tell the
person next to you and at that point nothing matters, this is why the only person
you need to worry about while you live is only you and yourself.
An attendant jokingly said how in there your net worth is unknown,
fame or even what tittles you had, a landlord lies next to the tenant he hated
so much for not paying rent on time. A boss next to the workers he treated like
trash.
Those very pricey outfits you used to wear will be substituted
with a very sticky tag bearing only your name not that your name matter but to
give the morgue some order, just in case your relatives come looking for you. Nobody
wants to be looking for something with no name because be certain of me when
you breath your last you are reduced to zero.
I don’t mean to scare anyone just wanted to say next time
you trying to feel important remember you will one day bear the name tag. As
the Holy book say all is in vain, just do good, live everyday as if it is your
last day on earth tomorrow is not promised.
