Couch Potatoes

A  r ecent research has shown that many young people worldwide are opting for internet-related jobs. This includes jobs like influencing, digital marketing, or remote jobs. They argued this generation is lazy and would rather spend a whole day surfing on the internet than working. This research must have been carried out by African parents, who think the internet is a waste of time, part of which is true even though the internet has not failed to prove itself useful. Parents are mad because this is that one thing, they have failed to control. They are jealous our life is much better and full of fun compared to their 80s. They seem to not accept that you can learn about what is happening in Iran without watching Aljazeera. Have you tried watching world Today? You will get depressed; all they talk about is which western country should host Afghan immigrants. Sharing people like a bunch of bananas. Imagine listening to that for two hours, sick. This is why the youth prefer T

Lockdown Anniversary

Image
Who would think that one person eating a bat would cause this global havoc, stopping Africans from shaking hands… Do they even know how hard it is for an African to not shake hands? Happy Lockdown Anniversary, this year’s lockdown hits different, cessation last year was a big joke to many, many didn’t understand what it was about, not that you now understand but at least you have an idea of how terrible it will end. Lockdown last year was amusing, people enjoyed how internet transformed activities, working online, online classes, online meetings, online dating, online churches, what missed was online eating, if that happens this year, you might consider the lockdown for the rest of the year. Thoughtless of you to want it to last a whole year, knowing very well how it has fetched confusion and unpredicts of life, you can no longer make plans in fear of whether you will be lucky enough to see the next sunrise. Deaths left, right and center are horrifying, burying the departed after 72hou

Petty officers....

Image
photocourtesy() It is the truth, should be universally acknowledged, officers are petty, really petty, I happened to hear one ask a guy he was about to arrest, “mbona unapumua hewa ya serikali!” reason for arrest was not having a mask on in public. The guy was a mechanic in his place of work, he tried to explain how uncomfortable it was to work under cars and trucks with a mask on but the officer was too proud to listen to him and guess what he was arrested. Heartless. Is it not? Another one appeared before court arrested for the same reason, not having a mask, please have a mask whenever you in public, if you fearless of covid19 am sure getting arrested will scare you to death especially if you have to appear before court. One thing I have learnt with courts is that your sentence depends with the mood of the judge, and your ability to defend yourself, I have seen people get charged higher than others for the same offence. Some magistrates are compassionate while others will fr

Consistency is key...

Image
photo courtesy() Why is being consistent such a struggle? Consistency is key, at this point it does not matter who said that, just know it is vital in everything you do or are forethinking. Being consistent means doing things that will at some point annoy you, like waking up every morning and going to that job that you hate so much but you have to because you need the pay. Running every morning to keep fit even though your muscles hurt so much and it upsets you that even a simple exercise like laughing make your physiques complain. You wondering where am headed with this consistency gospel, thinking that I have become an inspirational speaker overnight. I am upset at my self for not being consistent at what is chief and how I am majoring on minors. I have not been writing neither do I feel like, for reasons not known even by myself. I'm doing it anyway..   This whole thing of quitting after two seconds of promising yourself how you need to invest on something occurs to a

Happy women's day

Image
All day, every day, women are fighting for their place in the society, advocating for parity, globally International Women’s Day celebrates women’s achievement, raise awareness about women’s equality, lobby for gender equivalence and fundraise for female-focused charities. We celebrate all women as Hillary Clinton said women are the largest untapped reservoir of the talent in the world. I celebrate women in the process of discovering their lives, young women who are afraid of how their lives will turn out, women spending sleepless nights wondering how their dreams will turn to reality. Young women transitioning to adulthood not certain of what is happening in their lives winning battles regardless of their confused state. Just hang in there, work towards your dreams and be sure to achieve. The secret is to not stop, they say dreams are valid why not make yours come true. It starts with your thoughts and what you tell yourself every day, make the most out of yourself now that

Daughters of Mumbi bride price

Image
photo courtesy() Kikuyu’s Ruracios are lucrative schemes, kikuyus are known for detecting money creation chances even where finding one is by the skin of your teeth. If you have a plan to get hitched to a daughter of Mumbi, your gift paying day will be something close or similar to this. Just to warn you in advance everything in the event is salaried from women ‘arirririis’ to cars ‘pipipii’. women will be waiting at the entrance, don’t be fooled by their ‘arirririis’ and welcoming songs because they had spent the entire week looking for the largest padlock they could trace and ‘threw’ the keys away, in short you have to pay for gate to be opened. Accidentally you forget to hoot to notify them of your arrival, be sure to recompence or hoot so loudly you will recompence for trying to cause noise, women pettiness must have originated from the daughters of Mumbi. Aunties get the chance to ask money for raising your bride well, why do you have to pay them for raising their own ki
