A  r ecent research has shown that many young people worldwide are opting for internet-related jobs. This includes jobs like influencing, digital marketing, or remote jobs. They argued this generation is lazy and would rather spend a whole day surfing on the internet than working. This research must have been carried out by African parents, who think the internet is a waste of time, part of which is true even though the internet has not failed to prove itself useful. Parents are mad because this is that one thing, they have failed to control. They are jealous our life is much better and full of fun compared to their 80s. They seem to not accept that you can learn about what is happening in Iran without watching Aljazeera. Have you tried watching world Today? ‘Bill Gates to divorce Belinda Gates’ run the internet headlines yesterday, trust me it will run till the divorce process is completed, although Belinda asked the public to give her family space, that is unlikely going to be the case.

What happened to one of the richest couples in the world? Why are they divorcing? Why divorce now after 27 years of marriage?

I am no marriage counselor or specialist in matters concerning relationships, the longest relationship I had lasted two weeks, you can see am in no position to give an opinion.

Compared to other divorces, this one was kind of classy, it makes divorce looks like something you would take for dinner, saying that ‘they can no longer grow together was beautiful.

Wow! How can they not grow together after founding multibillion foundations, they must have misunderstood the word ‘grow’, don’t you think so?

Or maybe they meant growing, that is aging together.

Let us assume they are afraid of seeing each other’s hair turn white, become all wrinkled and toothless and bent.

 We then remember they are so rich; they can buy all dyes in the world, dye their hair black or any other color but white or buy the best teeth and antiaging creams.

It makes no sense.

What makes this divorce even more lovely is how suddenly everybody became supportive, the comments I came across social media were so encouraging and so unlike Kenyans.

Money will make even strangers respect you, in scenarios like this Kenyans roast the victims with comments like ‘tulisema wataachana tu’ but with the Gates, you all turned spiritual and counselors, saying ‘money does not buy happiness, good marriages are made in heaven’ nyef, nyef...

The world is trying to solve the puzzle, looking for signs of unhappiness, any clue as to why they are divorcing.

I came across one that was interesting, people are desperate to know what transpired.

An astrologer said that Bill Gates had it coming, divorce was in his zodiac signs.

The father of three is a Scorpio, the full moon was on his sun and the marriage ended, there … you just got why.

You did not understand what the sun and the full moon had to do with the marriage, neither did I... hahaha…

You probably wondering how many Scorpios are there and did not get divorced, we can all agree the explanation was lame.

‘As long as the bed shakes, the family remains strong’  a proverb I came across the comment sections, I don’t want to assume what it means or why it was said, I will just leave it at that.

The moral of the story……rich people’s decisions are respected; their divorces are beautiful and reasons for separating even more surprising. Look for money and give me something to write about when you divorce.

    Interesting read! I believe even the ex couples, should we call that that? or should we wait until the divorce is complete? Anyway, I was saying its hard to believe that Bill and Melinda expected their divorce to go silently. Or are they just trying to control the narrative?

Happy feast (Eid Mubarak), so this is how good holidays feel on a weekday… we should have more of these. Thanks to the cold I am feeling old, I am on my tenth cup of tea, taking a lot of tea is a sign you are getting old.   It is not aging that I am afraid of, it is peeing. Do you know how many times old people wake up to pee at night?   I would hate anything to disturb my sleep. Holidays are for the working group, the rest of you every day is a holiday, count me out, or you don’t think writing is work, not that am complaining. If you want to give us a holiday, do it like the Muslims, they do not spend all their holidays in one month, see after Ramadhan they remember they will get tired of waking up and decided to spare one day, that was kind of them.
